We may be in a recession, but that doesn’t stop Hispanics from going to the movies. Fast and Furious won at the box office this weekend and it won with the help of Hispanics. Yep, 45% of the audience was Hispanic according to Box Office tracking. Maybe so many Latinos watched it because it features Latinas Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster. If that’s not enough, the opening scenes also take place in the Dominican Republic and maybe Hispanics just like action movies or maybe Lucha Libre was cancelled this weekend. There could be lots of reasons.
