fast and furious Fast and Furous Wins at Box Office Gracias a los LatinosWe may be in a recession, but that doesn’t stop Hispanics from going to the movies. Fast and Furious won at the box office this weekend and it won with the help of Hispanics. Yep, 45% of the audience was Hispanic according to Box Office tracking. Maybe so many Latinos watched it because it features Latinas Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster.  If that’s not enough, the opening scenes also take place in the Dominican Republic and maybe Hispanics just like action movies or maybe Lucha Libre was cancelled this weekend. There could be lots of reasons.

Did you see the movie?

The film, which reunites the cast of the 2001 movie for the first time, brought in $72.5 million the highest ever total for an April film release.

Why would anyone want to watch this movie?! I’d like to see what age those Latinos were…I doubt it would be a 45 immigrant dad living in Colorado. I’m pretty sure it’s all the 18-25 Latinos who think cars are cool. smh
