Sound familiar? It should because it’s barely been nine months since a group of teenagers stabbed Ecuadorean immigrant Marcelo Lucero to death. His case is still in court.
One of the men allegedly struck the victim in the face and knocked him to the ground, according to police and they stole cash and other personal items were stolen from him.
Police said there may have been witnesses to the assault and asked anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS or the police department at 631-852-6323.
What’s going on in Patchogue? How can we prevent future attacks? People say that victims are scared to come forward because of fear that they may be deported. Are there solutions that have worked in other areas?
