Merry Pepsi Christmas from Mexico! The Pepsi tree was lit tonight in Mexico City and it’s setting a record at 367 feet tall, beating out Brazil’s tree for the world record.
Dos Lives has the pictures from tonight’s festivities which included 600 strobe lights and also how this megaárbol looks during the day with it’s red, white and blue background.

Pepsi may be sponsoring this tree, but Coca-Cola Co. will light 50 of its own Christmas trees in Chapultepec Park in Mexico City on Sunday.
Random fact that Beverage Digest says Coca-Cola holds 69 percent of Mexico’s carbonated soft drink market compared to Pepsi’s 16 percent, according to a Yahoo article. So does that mean that Mexicans will leave a Coke for Papa Noel?
Congrats on Mexico’s World Record. Do you remember their last Word Record a few months ago? We’ll give you a hint: Michael Jackson.
What other Word Records do you think Mexico should try to win?
