This month will mark 15 years since the loss of the Tejano Music Queen, Selena Quintanilla Perez. She was a woman who was able to captivate and break into the male dominated industry while winning our hearts over with her humor and charisma.
Last week, Telefutura picked Ilyssa as Selena’s “doble” or double, who was the winner among the many finalists. This program brought in over 2 million total viewers which was record breaking making it the highest ranked entertainment special in the history of the network. Selena continues to live and these numbers are a testimony as to how much she means to the Latin Community.
