Exclusive Video – Prince Royce taking over one step at a time!
Dos Lives is very excited to see how far Prince Royce has come. We have been following him when he was considered “underground”. Today, he is heard in both English and Spanish speaking radio stations including Z-100. Perez Hilton’s mom turned him on into “Stand by Me” and called it a “Regal Version” in his own words, which as we all know means the world as he has a very picky taste in music.
Currently, his self-titled debut album holds the #2 spot in iTunes Top Salsa y Tropical category, while “Corazon sin Cara” his second single off the album holds #11 position in the Top Latino Songs. The most exciting news of all is that he is nominated for a Latin Grammy for Best Contemporary Tropical Album of 2010 where he is up against another talented musicians like Juan Luis Guerra. Geoffrey Royce Rojas, better known as “Prince Royce” will be performing his first ever U.S concert at the Lehman Center for the Performing Arts in his hometown of the Bronx November 13th.
So what makes him stand out from any other artist you ask? He is a product of the Urban New York area where most can relate to his life, being raised in a Dominican family in the Bronx where his parents struggled to give him and his siblings a better life than their own in their home country. Does that sound familiar? I am sure it does and his humbleness along with fan engagement through the use of social networks has allowed him to be an individual we can relate to.
We wish him continued success, and we will continue to follow his steps and bring you the latest.
And as an added bonus, I made a video which combines the shows that I have seen him in… It’s pretty exclusive :D
