Ya Es Hora, Ve y Vota! – Piolín Interviews Michelle Obama; airs Thursday

Eddie “Piolín” Sotelo, interviewed President Barack Obama and that interview aired this morning and that just wasn’t enough. Univision announced earlier this evening that Piolín will air an interview with First Lady Michelle Obama this Thursday at 9 a.m. PST during his show “Piolín por la Mañana.”   The exclusive interview is the first time that Michelle Obama was interviewed by Piolín since her husband was elected President. She visited his studios once before the election.

The interview will be available across the U.S. on Univision Radio (list of stations below) and also streaming from the show’s website: on What would you want to ask the First Lady?

Who will Piolín interview next? Malia and Sasha? Nah, we’re just joking. We’re excited to see Piolín bring the candidates and their political positions to a media format that so many Latinos listen to on a daily basis.

Earlier today, Univision annouced the following in a press release: In partnership with the “Ya Es Hora” coalition, Univision is dedicating Tuesday, October 26, 2010, to aggressively encourage civic engagement across its television, radio, online and mobile platforms. As part of “Ya Es Hora, Ve y Vota!,” (It’s Time! Go and Vote!), Univision Communications will air special coverage, segments and public service announcements (PSAs) extensively starting at 7 a.m. through midnight, and will leverage digital and social media platforms, with the goal and continued commitment to inform the Hispanic community about the electoral process and the importance of the upcoming elections.
