First Spanish-Language Digital Bookstore in the U.S. Launches
The number of Spanish-language books available in digital format just got a big boost from Barnes & Noble, the the world’s largest bookseller, who announced NOOKbooks en español, the first-ever Spanish language digital bookstore in the United States.
Working closely with many of the top international and U.S.-based publishers, Barnes & Noble will continue to expand its catalog of NOOKbooks en español, which currently includes more than a third of the top-selling trade Spanish-language titles in the U.S.
In addition to accessing NOOKbooks en español on NOOK devices, customers can use Barnes & Noble’s free eReading software to download and read books from their personal Barnes & Noble digital library on devices including iPad™, iPhone®, iPod touch®, Android™, BlackBerry® and other smartphones, PC, and Mac®, according to a company press release.
