"Coordinated Attack" Against Being Latino Facebook page?

Being Latino Facebook page Shutdown Blamed on “Coordinated Attack”

Screen shot 2010 12 15 at 8.03.18 AM Being Latino Facebook page Shutdown Blamed on Coordinated AttackA Latino-focused Facebook page, Being Latino, has allegedly been shut down or temporarily blocked by Facebook, reports the website Hispanic Tips. The Facebook page had around 50K likes and several related Facebook pages that are still live on the site. The Facebook page focused on bringing Latinos together and promoting discussion within the community.

Page founder Lance Ríos calls it an “organized coordinated attack.” Lance Ríos: “All that I could gather is that if a “significant” amount of people mark page’s post as inappropriate, FB freezes it. You can either appeal it or it is shut down for good. I’ve made the appeal, let’s see what happens. Doesn’t seem to me that we’ve violated any of their terms. This happened to our wordpress site two weeks ago. This is not a coincidence, it’s an organized coordinated attack.“

It’s not clear who or why they would try to shut down the Facebook page.
