Denied! Apple Rejects Smuggle Truck Immigration game App Submission
Owlchemy labs created controversy earlier this year when they announced their new game “Smuggle Truck,” which would allow players to smuggle illegal immigrants across a virtual southern border in a truck. This morning the company announced that their iPhone/iPad submission was rejected by the App Store.
The original game is still available for PC and MAC and a non-immigrant version was created called “Snuggle Truck” which is now available on the app store.
In Snuggle Truck, instead of smuggling immigrants over the border, players bring animals from the wilderness to the comfort of a zoo, according to a company press release. Snuggle Truck is included in the Mac and PC versions of Smuggle Truck at no extra cost, allowing players to switch between Smuggle Truck and Snuggle Truck with a simple press of a button.
Smuggle Truck is $5 from SmuggleTruck.com. Snuggle Truck is available now on the Apple App Store for $1.99 on iPhone and $2.99 on iPad with more information on SnuggleTruck.com.
