Q&A With Father Albert Cutié; host of the Father Albert Talk Show on Fox
The New York freebie newspaper AMNY caught up with Father Albert Cutié, a former Roman Catholic priest and asked him about his morning routine. New York Times or Miami Herald?, Coffee or Tea?, What time is the alarm set for? All this and more:
Q: What time is your alarm set for?
A: Between 6 and 6:30 a.m.
Q: Are you the pop-out-of-bed type?
A: Usually, I have no choice; I gotta drive my [teenage stepson] to school.
Q: Any morning rituals?
A: A time of quiet prayer, then some exercise, read the newspaper with a cup of coffee, and then my wife and I play with our 6-month-old daughter for a little while
Q: Coffee? Papers?
A: USA Today and The New York Times, and always a black coffee — except during Lent, when I usually replace it with green tea or water.
Q: What time do you arrive at work?
A: Now that I live in Manhattan to film my new show, I wake up at 6:30, and I’m at the studio by 9 a.m. for a pre-production meeting with my executive producer.
Q: What’s your typical breakfast?
A: Two eggs over medium, with dry whole-wheat toast and a coffee.
Q: What’s your favorite guilty-pleasure breakfast?
A: Same thing, but add sausage, grits or a bran muffin.
Q: How do you unwind on weekend mornings
A: I really love going out to breakfast with my wife and kids on Saturdays.
