Parody Twitter Account Pokes Fun at NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s Spanish

His use of Spanish is nothing new and he has provided summaries in Spanish of his daily press briefings since December, 2008.

A Spanish-language, or better described as Spanglish, Bloomberg Paraody Twitter account was created early Sunday morning and had garnered 1156 followers by 1:45 a.m. ET. Some updates from the El Bloombito include:

The use of Mayor Bloomberg’s Spanish during his press conferences has sparked passionate Twitter messages asking him to stop speaking Spanish as well at people thanking him for speaking in Spanish.

The account was started by Rachel Figueroa-Levin (@Jewyorican), a self-described Jewyorican mom blogger from the Inwood section of Manhattan.
