Small Plane Crash-Lands on Florida Turnpike near Hollywood
UPDATE: A representative of North Perry Airport said the pilot of the Socata TBM 700 plane signaled an emergency to the control tower before landing on the Turnpike, according to ABC Miami.
UPDATE: The pilot and co-pilot have been transported to Memorial Regional hospital and hospital officials aren’t expecting anyone else from the crash. reports NBC Miami. Federal Aviation Administration said the plane was headed to North Perry General Aviation Airport in Broward to land and it took from the Opa-Locka airport, according to NBC Miami.
UPDATE: CBS Miami reports that the plane involved is a single engine Cessna plane.

A small plane crash-landed on the northbound lanes on the Florida Turnpike near Hollywood Boulevard Wednesday afternoon, according to CBS Miami.
Three people were on board according to the Pemrbroke Fire Department and at least two people were taken to the hospital.
The northbound lanes were shutdown and traffic is at a standstill.
