Some Latinos Oppose “John and Ken” Radio Show Boycott
The National Hispanic Media Coalition is moving forward with a boycott of the John and Ken radio show after KFI management canceled a meeting with the immigrant rights group last week, but some Latinos are sounding off that they support ‘John and Ken’ and oppose the boycott.
As an American of Mexican decent, I am insulted by so called Latino organizations who claim to speak for all of us, wrote Chris Anaya on the KFI website. “I refuse to be lumped into their stereotypical groups, and back their anti-American agendas. Thank you KFI for not giving in to these bullies.”
At least one who commented supports John and Ken even if he doesn’t like them.
“John and Ken, I support you,” wrote Julio Lazarte. “I don’t like you, but I support you.”

Another person commented that she appreciates John and Ken for speaking their minds.
“I am a proud Puerto Rican American and I support John and Ken and KFI,” wrote Cecile Munoz Hagerty. “I’ve been an avid listener for quite a few years now. While I don’t always agree with John and Ken’s position on every subject raised, I appreciate their having the gonads for owning their opinions and putting them out there.”
One commenter brought up the issue of intolerance.

“How come these groups that talk of intolerance are the least tolerant”, wrote Benjamin Velasquez. “I’m Hispanic and I’m with John and Ken.”
