Video: Democrats Launch New Spanish-Language Ads in Colorado

Screen shot 2011 10 27 at 11.52.04 PM 300x164 Video: Democrats Launch New Spanish Language Ads in ColoradoA new Spanish-language advertising campaign launched Wednesday in Colorado that blames Republicans for “blocking the President’s jobs plan that will put Colorado to work,” according to an article in The Hill.

The campaign, sponsored by the Colorado Democratic National Committee, credits President Obama for “…saving the economy from a total collapse.”

Both Republicans and Democrats are courting the Hispanic vote for 2012 and recent polls show continuing discontent among Hispanic voters toward the Democratic party.

Below is the transcript of the ad as provided by The Hill.

“Millions of jobs disappeared before Obama even became President,” the ad says. “He made the hard choices. His policies are credited for saving the economy from a total collapse.”

“He protected thousands of teachers and rescued American jobs by saving the auto industry,” the ad continues.

“Congress Republicans didn’t lift a finger then, and today they’re blocking the President’s jobs plan that will put Colorado back to work. Tell Congress to approve the plan.”

Obama’s jobs plan was blocked by Republicans earlier this month, The Hill notes, and Republicans later voted to filibuster a scaled-back part of the bill.
