Dominican Tire Store Owner, Carlos Rosario, 58, Murdered in Brooklyn Shop
The owner of a Brooklyn tire shop was shot three times and killed inside his store Sunday, according to police.
Carlos Rosario, 58, of Dominican heritage, died after the gunman entered the Bushwick Tire Shop around 11:35 a.m. and asked Rosario for hubcaps.
At this point, the gunman, described as a black man about 40 years old and 6-feet tall, shot Rosario three times.
“They gave him three shots — one in the mouth, one in the neck and one in the chest,” friend Ray Almonte, 22, who used to work in the shop, told the NY Daily News.
Rosario’s 84-year-old mother just made the trip here from the Dominican Republic., WABC reported. She just lost her husband, the victim’s father, 5 weeks ago.
The shop has a surveillance camera aimed over the murder scene and police are reviewing the footage.
Rosario’s son, Jose Rosario, 37, spoke with the daily news about his father’s death.
“He was a good father,” Jose Rosario said. “I’m sad. I’m depressed. I didn’t want to see my father die like that. I hope they catch the people.”Tell us what you think in the comments below or on:
