Magnitude 5.7 Earthquake Near the Coast of Ecuador
A magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck near the coast of central Ecuador on Wednesday night at 8:57 p.m. EST.
The perceived shaking would be light to moderate along the coast, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. Earthquake-related terms were not trending on Twitter.
The quake was located 116 miles WNW of Guayaquil and 236 miles WSW of the country’s capital of Quito.
