Gloria Estefan Confirms Her Role on Glee

Glee 294x300 Gloria Estefan Confirms Her Role on Glee Gloria Estefan has landed a spot on the hit musical TV show Glee.

She confirmed on Twitter that she will be guest staring on an episode. In the tweet she revealed that she would be playing the mother of character Santana Lopez, played by Naya Rivera.

“Just gave birth to a bouncing baby teenage girl, Santana Lopez, from Glee! Lol!” Estefan also tweeted “I hear I may also be having a boy…lol!”

There is also talk that rapper Pitbull will be staring in the episode also playing Estefan’s son. He has yet to confirm the rumor.

Not only that, but Ricky Martin confirmed that he will also be on the show playing the role of a new muy caliente Spanish teacher.

It was rumored that Estefan and Martin were to be on the same episode, but EW says that producers from the show changed their mind so that “there could be a giant family musical number in the Estefan episode.”

Sources tell EW that the cast are huge fans of Estefan and that “the plan is for the episode to feature some of Estefan’s own music as well as some other bilingual tunes.”
