Lethal Levels of Carbon Monoxide Sicken Over a Dozen at Florida Ice Rink
At least five people are being treated at the hospital after being exposed to high levels of carbon monoxide at a Clearwater, Florida ice skating rink, the Associated Press reported.
More than a dozen children and adults have fallen ill at the Clearwater Ice Arena, according to the Clearwater, FL Patch.com site and the rink has been evacuated and an investigation is underway.
The lethal levels of carbon monoxide occurred when equipment that is used to keep the arena cold malfunctioned Wednesday night, according to the AP.
More than 30 emergency responders are at the scene, reports the Clearwater Patch site.
