Meet NYPD Detective and Sketch Artist, Juan Perez
Despite the increase of surveillance cameras, New York Police Detective Juan Perez, 46, says there will still be a need for his work as a police sketch artist.

In an interview with the Daily News, Perez who has worked in the forensic art unit for 18 years, said the team of three are called on several times each week to meet with witnesses and victims.
Some crimes make bigger headlines, but all are equal in the eyes of Perez.
“All of them are great collars,” he told the Daily News. “There’s not one more important than the other. Homicides, rapes, burglaries — they’re all important to us.”
