NYPD Officers Under Fire for Alleged West Indian Day Parade Comments
The New York City Police department is investigating allegations that some of its officers called West Indian American Day Parade goers in Brooklyn, New York, “animals” and “savages” on Facebook and another said, “Drop a bomb and wipe them all out,” according to a New York Times report.

“Why is everyone calling this a parade,” one said. “It’s a scheduled riot.” Another said: “We were widely outnumbered. It was an eerie feeling knowing we could be overrun at any moment,” the Times reported.
The department came under fire in September when a video surfaced of officers bumping and grinding with female parade goers.
