There was initial confusion regarding the child’s name as it was first reported as Ivy Blue Carter, but later friends of the couple confirmed that it was Blue Ivy Carter even though the Twitter account remains @IvyBlueCarter. It’s unclear if the account will be updated.

30-year-old Beyoncé gave birth to Blue Ivy Carter at Lennox Hill Hospital in NYC. She checked into the hospital under the alias Ingrid Jackson.
