The heart fell out of a cooler being pulled by two men after they left a helicopter at the hospital.

The medics picked up the heart using their bare hands and put it back in the cooler and locked it.

Fortunately, the heart was wrapped up within three layers, according to Sky News, and the transplant went ahead with the patient recovering well, according to the surgeon who performed the operation.
