What: The annual New York City parade celebrates Puerto Rico and its nearly 4 million inhabitants. This year’s theme is “Puerto Ricans in Higher Education.”
When: Sunday, June 10, 2012 (Always the 2nd Sunday in June) 11:00am – 5:00pm
Where: Fifth Avenue between 44th Street and 79th Street (SEE MAP BELOW)
How to Get There: If you want to start at the beginning of the parade, you can taken any train to Times Square, Bryant Park or Grand Central and walk a few blocks. To find some good mid-parade spots along 5th avenue, you can get off at the 59th street stations for the following:
- 57th Street (at 6th Avenue) F Line
- 59th Street (at 5th Avenue) N/Q/R
- 59th Street (at Lexington) 4/5/6
Due to the Parade on Sunday, 6 Train passengers will not be allowed entry into the 77 St station from 7 AM – 9 PM.
