A swimmer’s bout of diarrhea closed Brooklyn’s McCarren Park pool on Saturday after lifeguards spotted the problem at 1:30 p.m.

Parks workers planned to disinfect the pool by raising its chlorine levels for 24 hours, department spokesman Phil Abramson told the New York post.

The pool, which has been plagued with violence since opening earlier this summer, is set to reopen Sunday afternoon.
