Hector “Macho” Camacho’s public relations agency released the following quote from his is oldest son, boxer Hector Camacho Jr.

“Thank you to everyone for their prayers, he is a good person, a great father, and it is a tragedy what has happened. The streets are very bad, the violence that we’re surrounded with is unnecessary. Let this be a lesson to today’s youth that we have to make a change in how we are living.”

Hector Camacho Jr. was in Kansas City and flew to Puerto Rico Wednesday to be with his father, but missed his flight and is expected to arrive Thursday afternoon.

Hector Camacho Jr. was born September 20, 1978 (age 34). He is 5′ 8″ (1.73 m) and weighs 166 lbs (75.3 kg)

      i had the honor to spend time in puerto rico with the camacho family.big fight card that night in san juan.though we had the main event and same trainer and manager it was a pleasure spending time with you hector.you will be missed.the times we trained together in los angeles and san juan,it was fun.still have some good pictures of us together.you did talk so much of your son jr.and brother and mom.we ate together in old san juan.memoriries that i will never forget.i am now retired and living at my home in northpole,alaska.godbless to you and your family.
