South by South Bronx, a two-day festival of educational workshops and performances aims to provide a space for The Bronx to reclaim Hip-Hop culture as a means for education & community empowerment.
The festival kicks off Friday and goes through Saturday.
Highlights for educational workshops on Friday, December 14, 4-6 p.m. will include a DJ workshop by the innovator of the turntable ‘scratch’ Grand Wizard Theodore; a Hip-Hop dance workshop by Rocky Steady pioneer Popmaster Fabel; and a young women’s leadership workshop led by Da Urban Butterflies.
