The first tweet? A bear saying hola.

The company announced on October 14th that they would expand internationally in Spanish, French and Portuguese. They won’t rely on local editors or traditional ways of translation. Instead it’s outsourcing translation work to language learning startup Duolingo, where English-language learners will translate posts as part of their coursework.
As of Monday morning at 9:30 a.m. ET, the account only has 145 follows and 13 Tweets, but we’re sure that will quickly change.
