Engagement Ring Found During Marc Anthony Concert; Note with “Te Quiero Mucho” Found with Ring

| On 18, Feb 2014

A man found an engagement ring and love note in the men’s bathroom during a Marc Anthony concert Saturday night at Barclays Center in Brooklyn and now he’s searching for its owner.

Jorge Collazo, 63, an executive chef with the city’s Department of Education, came forward Tuesday to say he’s looking for the rightful owner of the glittery rock — which he found in a stall in the men’s bathroom, according to the NY Daily News.

The note, addressed to a Daniela D’Andrea, was found in the box with the ring. On the back of the note the careless lover had written: “Te quiero mucho,” Spanish for “I love you a lot.”

“On this day, Feb. 15, 2014, I want to give you this ring as a symbol of my love,” the note said. “I offer to love, protect and provide for you for the rest of my life.”

Inside he discovered a silver ring studded with three diamonds and immediately knew he’d stumbled upon a romance gone awry.

Anyone with information about the ring or its owner should contact Barclays at 917-618-6161 or via email at lostandfound@barclayscenter.com, an arena spokeswoman told the NY Daily News.
